BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS on Saturday mornings at 9:30-10:45.  Join us any time.
Please let Pastor know, so we can provide you with materials.

BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS The next class will be Nov. 21, 9:30-11:00 a.m. Come to review foundational Bible teachings!  Snacks and drinks will be provided.

FOODBANK DRIVE We are collecting canned foods and dry goods for the Yuma Community Foodbank.  A collection box located in the narthex also shows examples of what is needed.  We thank God for the many blessings we can share with others, too!

MEMBER VISITS Pastor will try to set up times to meet with members again, beginning with those he hasn’t visited yet.  If you’d appreciate a visit, please let him know.

WEEKLY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Thank you to all our helpers who assist with church cleaning, providing snacks for our Bible study and fellowship time, greeting before services, and/or setting up for communion twice a month.  Please sign up on the bulletin board in the entryway, if you can serve in any of these ways.

MEDITATIONS daily devotions are available through our publishing house.  An annual subscription is about $16 w/s&h.  We’re planning to place a joint order later this month to receive the next quarterly issue which starts in Advent (end of November).  E-book and large print versions are also available.  If interested, please sign up or let the pastor know.  (www.nph.net)

Yuma’s Education Scholarship (YES) Fund for Kids is another tax credit organization that helps local students receive a Christian education.  At least two children in our congregation could benefit from this.  If interested to redirect your state taxes to this fund, please contact Pastor Daylo; or visit yesfundforkids.org

AZ TUITION TAX CREDIT  You can help a student receive a Christian education by designating next year’s state tax dollars to a tuition tax credit program. This is not a donation but a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. ACTSO is one organization that benefits Christian schools in Arizona, including WELS schools.   Yuma’s Education Scholarship (YES) Fund for Kids also helps local students receive a Christian education.  At least two children in our congregation could benefit through either of these organizations.  If you’d like to use your state taxes for this purpose, please ask Pastor Daylo; visit actso.org (480-820-0403); yesfundforkids.org (928-314-0033).

QUARTERLY VOTERS MEETING  is scheduled for November 22.  We invite all members to attend the congregational meeting after our fellowship time that Sunday.  The voters meeting will convene immediately afterward.

OFFICE HOURS The office is open Tuesday to Saturday mornings, 8:30 to noon. Pastor is available in the afternoons, too—just give him a call or drop in.

ALA LAND PURCHASE Arizona Lutheran Academy has purchased the 3.6 acres of land at the corner of 27th Ave. & Southern, which will help to improve their visibility to the community.  Their fund drive, called Gaining Ground, has other stages to develop with the help of member donors.  Please visit www.alacoyotes.org for updates and info on their progress and needs.
