WE'RE A LUTHERAN CHURCHWe are a member congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, so called because it had its beginnings in the upper Midwest some 150 years ago. Immigrants from Europe had brought the "by grace alone, by Scripture alone, by faith alone" foundations of the 16th century Reformation with them when they settled in the Milwaukee area where the WELS is still headquartered. The WELS came to Arizona in the 1890's and today has over 1240 congregations in North America. We support mission work in more than twenty other countries. The WELS is the third largest body in American Lutheranism and is known and respected for its faithfulness to authentic Biblical teaching and practice. Our congregations operate the fourth largest private-parochial elementary and secondary school system in the U.S.. We invite you to visit the WELS website at http://www.wels.net/ or our district website at http://www.az-cadistrict.org/ . |

| WE'RE
A
SACRAMENTAL CHURCH We believe that in Baptism and the Lord's Supper God comes to us with forgiveness in very tangible means. We baptize those who request it for themselves or their children because Jesus instituted this means of grace. We share the Lord's Supper with those of our convictions in our worship often because Jesus encouraged that. |
